This can include product recommendations based on your personal needs, product shopping, pick up and delivery from a local computer retailer, and unboxing. Getting your new equipment out of the package and ready to actually use requires configuring and setting up new software and interfaces with such existing equipment as printers.

The files and software from your old equipment will need to be transferred to the new device to prepare it for your regular, everyday use.

This includes wiping of the old equipment and, if desired, recycling. If you are planning on giving your old equipment to a friend or relative, it will be ready to go, with non of your programs or information remaining.

This is a great time to make a back up of your data, to prevent future loss.

Your new computer may seem different when you first log on. This will include some time reviewing the location of all of your favorite, frequently used items. You will be ready to jump back on and using your new equipment once the process is finished.
